School Tours A-Plenty!!

Friday, March 7th, 2014

So many schools so little time!! Spring is in the air (minus all the snow) and I am getting geared up to begin some very exciting tours over the next few months. From a week long tour of the Okanagan to some of my favourite schools (can you believe it’s been four years since my last tour of Kelowna!) all the way to Calgary/Edmonton and back to Vancouver and finally Vancouver island. As A,B,Sea celebrates it’s 6th month on book shelves I am thrilled to share this new book with children far and wide! As well, I have TWO new books in the works…..two more covers for Sam’s Top Secret Journal and a ton of other new stuff!! So keep checking back because there is sooooo much to see!!

Gertie Bus…Here I Come!!!

Tuesday, October 1st, 2013

Well, word on the street is that my illustration has been chosen to adorn the big yellow GERTIE bus of Gabriola! I am thrilled and excited to be a part of ¬†GERTIE and it’s transformation. I have worked very hard to ensure all aspects of Gabriola lifestyle have been reflected in the artwork and hope it will bring a smile to faces whenever GERTIE passes by!

A,B,Sea…sailing off to the printers!

Tuesday, June 25th, 2013

A,B,Sea – A Deepsea Symphony is now going to press! I am most excited today as this means that in a very short while my newest book (which isn’t really new to me seeing as how I seem to have been working on it for what seems an eternity) will be ready to share with everyone! I anticipate doing a complete launch for my Thanksgiving Tour this year with originals and books for sale…so watch my calendar through the coming months! And rather than spoil the surprise with an actual image of the cover of the book, I am sharing my author photo from the jacket cover…just simply because it’s my favourite author photo of all time!!

Great day at Gabriola Elementary

Tuesday, February 19th, 2013

A BIG thank you to Gabriola Elementary for inviting me to take part in their grade 6/7 writing program, led by children’s author Joelle Anthony and teacher, Miss Peacock. The group was enthusiastic and had developed some really interesting story ideas….from novels to graphic novels and even picture books….it was so nice to see the range of ideas. I look forward to hearing from all the great book ideas at their book launch in March!

My day at Rogers Elementary School

Tuesday, January 22nd, 2013

What a great day I had at Rogers Elementary School. Such a great group of students and the teachers were fantastic. Travis Richey, the librarian did a wonderful job in organizing and making sure the students were well prepared for my visit. It’s librarians like Travis that make my job so easy and enjoyable. Thank you Rogers Elementary for a great day and thank you for making me feel like a Rock Star!!
